INGtech obtains Canadian certification for its Electronic Logging Device

[Montreal – April 14th, 2022] - INGtech, an engineering firm specialized in heavy-duty vehicle systems, obtained, April 14th, 2022, the Canadian certification for its electronic logging device (ELD) by CSA Group. In addition to offering its customers an automated solution designed to capture driving data in real time, highlight needs for improvement or revision and provide compliance during audits, INGtech's ELD is now fully compliant with requirements established by Transport Canada as part of its new mandatory ELD regulations.

The new Canadian regulation concerning the mandatory use of ELDs, effective January 1st, 2023, requires operators to equip their vehicles with an electronic logging device and is intended to increase the operational safety of drivers by eliminating the risks caused by various factors such as excessive driving.

This regulation, similar to the one already in force in America, differs in that it requires suppliers to obtain their certification from a third-party organization.
